Wednesday - Packed

After a couple of practice runs, everything fits including my pc. The bag is smaller than lots of other carry on bags I've seen, so I hope it gets passed airport security ok. Even if they make me check it, I have my pc shoulder bag inside and an emergency bag of socks and underwear I can always take out and carry with my pc onboard. So just one more day & night of over-thinking the preps, and I'm off tomorrow afternoon. I hope to post a picture every day with a short narrative (internet connection permitting). The pics will hopefully get a lot more interesting after this one. Next post from Bergen, Norway.

  1. Wooohoooo! Yet another blogger in the family! I'm really looking forward to reading about your adventures, and of course seeing your photos!

Isaac and I have been talking about going to Iceland for a trip - right now round trip airfare is $245 out of Newark! Craziness!

    Have a great time!

  2. Hi John,
Sounds like a fantastic trip. I'm a little worried about your packing. The bag is very small and you mentioned a few extras like laptop, camera ect that will take up a lot of space. It doesn't sound like you have much room for clean clothes. Hopefully they have a few laudromats along the way. We can't wait to see your pictures. Enjoy your trip and be safe.

  3. John, This so so cool. Your trip sounds wonderful, I can't wait to see some Pics. Steve said he wants you to work your magic when I pack. Your carry on wouldn't be large enough for just the shoes that I pack........LOL. Have a wonderful safe trip! See you when you get back! Sandy

  4. Now take it apart again and photograph all the contents laid out on the floor. Then time yourself to see how long it takes to re-pack.

  6. Hey!

    Good photos!

And this is also a chance to smash the stereotypes of the no fun Norwegians that are spread through that liberal media radio show every weekend. Get pictures of them eating spicy food, drinking, dancing and laughing.
